As I said in my blog, I am completely ready for large action, and just saying “no” to animal cruelty. Something has to shift. How about the entire paradigm? I’ve been saying for years that the astrology of this time was going to be like the 1960s on speed, so why not massive change for animals? It is the right time! I see the government saying “sorry” to them for taking away their children and forcing unspeakable horrors onto them. I see them being treated with respect and reverence. I see an entirely different world to the one we have now and that is what the Deep Peace Movement is all about — helping to create that new world of harmony, peace and respect.
I have a number of initiatives I would like to get going with. I need supporters to help with these initiatives. It’s all urgent. Animals are suffering every day, hoping that someone will help them. It’s time to do more. Compassionate action is a measure of our humanity. By continuing the cycles of violence, pain and suffering, we live with shame and despair tainting our hearts and souls. Governments are slow to change. We just have to take really big action and show the world we are serious about animals and willing to put our lives where our hearts are. It’s time for people power.
If you want to support, now is the time. Contact me with Deep Peace Team in the subject line. And if you havent heard from me within 24 hours, send it again. We need the Deep Peace Team now!
We need animal lovers, event organisers and fund raisers, networkers, connectors, artists, thinkers, web designers, social media folk – whatever you are good at, I’m sure you can help. If you have passion for animals, peace and freedom, speak to me. Further, people know people know people and that is how a beautiful network comes into being on silver threads of love and mutual compassion and action. Let’s get together – Deep Peace Team.Yay! Time to rebel. Time to create beauty and peace and raise consciousness and light.
Further, brumby culling starts up again soon and we are looking for land for horses to run free. Wouldn’t it be lovely to say “No more culling. Sorry. Unacceptable. If you don’t want the horses, we’ll take them.” Already, a truckload of unwanted stallions, colts, and horses two and over went to slaughter. Easter gave us a reprieve. But trapping is supposed to resume the second week of May. (Say it with me, “Unacceptable.”)
I know the racing industry is responsible for tens of thousands of good souls dying every year (and I want to contribute to stopping that suffering too), but I looked at my gentle wild stallion, young colts (in the garden as we speak) and young mares, and I started crying. That is a call to action. We can’t pretend it isn’t happening. We have to say “no”. Collectively, we can make a difference. Our wild horses were so frightened when they arrived, bunching up together, not quite trusting they were safe. Merlin the stallion was first out of the truck and he called the others and told them it was safe to follow him. It was so moving, I am tearing up now. He knew where he was and took everything in his stride. I can only imagine their brothers and sisters and kin are the same. They are not pests and they, contrary to popular belief, live very lightly on the land. They are part of the land. And these are just some of the things they talk to me about.
There was a heart warming story on my Facebook wall about a bull who started crying as men took him to the slaughter house. They were all so moved, he won himself sanctuary at a monastry.
But what about all the other animals who also cry? This suffering has to end. I had the worst day yesterday with Spirit urging me to further action – passing sad cattle in sale yards, distressed sheep stuffed into a truck, legs sticking out, their innocent gentle eyes beseeching me as I sent them love, tears pouring down my face. I was so distressed by their suffering, I absorbed it all and flew out of my body. It took me a long time in the city to come back to myself. Then, driving home, there was a circus with animals, and really unhealthy people at the frozen (mostly meat) section of the IGA. It was a shock for me to see so many huge, unhealthy people in one area on a random Tuesday night. How do I know they are unhealthy? They were terribly overweight (and I track auras, etc.), but one woman when I numbly pointed to my vegan patties as a suggestion for her dinner (she was asking aloud) said she would like to stick them in the microwave (noooooo) before she went to the doctor. That was Spirit telling me how much work there is ahead of us to teach people about nutrition, the health benefits of a cruelty-free diet, and cutting down on EMR. Sorry, I do not nuke my food.
Finally I got home to a message that one of the dogs I was trying to save ( in California) had been killed in the pound because he was too scared. Well duh, wouldn’t you be? This mentality of killing, killing, killing has to end. Fortunately, this dog’s sister was saved. It is truly time for change, people power!!!
I am still in the middle of trying to help stop some sheep and cattle going to slaughter, trying to stop the brumbies being culled, trying to raise finance and secure land and do real education programs through the arts and media that will help mainstream see animals in a new and more refined light. This is the mission of the Deep Peace Organisation – fostering global peace and freedom for animals through the arts, education and compassionate action. I need help – no one can do this kind of work and change alone. I need the Deep Peace Team.
It’s time for dreams to be realised and we have long held a dream of expanding A Place of Peace sanctuary and creating an education/retreat centre. Help me save some farm animals and help other farmers make the transition to new and clean, happy, light ways of being with the land and animals. Yes, I have big dreams and visions. Can you help? This is a call for action. (Donations can be made here.)
Looking forward to hearing from you all – even those beautiful, big hearted students of mine who are already involved and helping.
Thank you all for being you.
