| Finding
Joy
Finding
Joy is the first feature film from Billie's production
company, Wild Pure Heart Productions. The film won Billie an AFTI Best
Actress award.
Billie has committed
her craft as a writer and filmmaker to raising people's awareness
of the spiritual gifts brought to us by the animal kingdom.
Finding
Joy is dedicated to homeless
animals, and tells the story of a stray dog who helps a woman touch
her dreams through his special brand of "doggy medicine"
— unconditional love.
In the film,
Raffi the dog is a pawed angel on a mission to help Joy Brown achieve
her life's purpose.
"True
awareness and understanding of the role companion animals play in
the web of life is deeply humbling."
— Billie Dean
See the Finding
Joy web site for information about the USA (NTSC) version of
the DVD, as well as the soundtrack album.

Billie
as Joy Brown with Raffi.
From Finding Joy.
"'Finding
Joy' spoke to me in a way that movies rarely do. The messages about
the wonder and joy of loving a dog (or any animal companion for
that matter) touched my heart. And, as I drove home that evening
I realised yet again how much I take them for granted and how precious
each and every day with them is. I wanted to thank you for this
precious reminder.
-- Kim L from Victoria, Australia
"I
am still Living with "Finding Joy," Billie Dean
was phenomenal. Her spiritual essence has touched me deeply."
Dr. Elaine W., Michigan
"I
loved Finding Joy!!!!!! The movie in itself was really great.
I am a dog lover and more than that I have a blue healer that is
just a joy and blessing to me. I really liked the movie and
would watch it over again."
Lynn J., New Mexico

Seven
Days with Seven Dogs
Billie's
current project, a documentary called Seven
Days with Seven Dogs, features the seven dogs from the Ballyoncree
Animal Sanctuary taking the holiday of a lifetime.
This
moving and entertaining work was inspired by Suki the kelpie-cross, who
cited the cause of her lymphatic tumour as a need to go on more outings.
As Suki said, "I want to see new places."
Billie,
Andrew and their daughter Tamsin took the dogs on a holiday staying in
everything from five star accommodation to a horse-drawn gypsy caravan.
Through
natural therapies and the joy of having been made special and her dreams
met, Suki is now tumour free.
Shooting
started in 2004, and the full-length, 53-minute documentary is now
available.
All
proceeds from the sale of the dog-umentary go to the Ballyoncree Animal
Sanctuary.
