Billie’s
Spring Newsletter
In this
issue:
Hi everyone,
I know
news from me has been a long time in coming, but 2005 has been an
incredible and powerful year to date – and I believe the best
is yet to come. With the arrival of Spring, the energies have shifted
and Spirit calls for us all to detox and continue our spiritual
studies and journey, listening to the whispers in the silence with
new attention and intent.
Spiritual
Energies
What
are you called to learn? Which animal is your teacher at this time?
Look around you, follow that subtle thread from your Higher Self
as you are guided on the next phase of your spiritual journey. What
messages do the animals bring you?
Personally,
I am called back into the world of horses, healing and shamanism,
and Spirit has been testing me regarding my ability to act on those
tiny little inner urges – the ones you know you have to listen
to, but can’t explain them well to anyone else. The ones you
sometimes think you “should” ignore, and often do. The
ones you can only lamely say: “I can’t do that because
it doesn’t feel right.” Or “I have no idea why
I am doing this, but Spirit said to.” In some company it can
be a challenge to honour the voice of Spirit this way.
So has
Spirit been talking to you? Have you felt the changes?
Are you
being called to listen more? Have wild or domestic animals been
trying to get your attention?
Billie
and the Brumbies
One of
my guides, Grandmother Logan, is back after a 10 year vacation.
She’s thrilled I said “yes” to an assignment filming
and communicating with brumbies living on a property about half
an hour from my home. Grandmother was the one who instructed me
to become a professional animal communicator, way back. So when
she speaks, I know I need to listen.
The brumby
film production is heaven. Three thousand acres, wild horses, my
camera – and me. It’s fifth dimensional reality working.
It’s a complete space of grace – and my feelings of
gratitude, humility and joy are high. Here’s a photo of me
filming the little wild stallion:
The only
thing I don’t like about it is that the horses have to leave
the property at all – but having studied one young fellow
at close range – who was starving, perhaps a gentle cull isn’t
a bad thing.
The first
three “caught “(they wandered into a fenced paddock)
were three young stallions. From a spiritual perspective, they chose
a new adventure – to be teachers out in the world.
One of
them said to me: “I don’t want to be dog meat.”
Out of the three he was the most scared, the smallest and the one
with the biggest attitude. He attacked the two natural horse trainers
who are gently “educating” them into the human world.
He psychically hooked into me and shared his fear.
So I
took him home, filming everything, including his first floating.
And now he is my teacher. And he is here with us at Ballyoncree
as wild as ever (although he’s enjoying hay in this photo):
You’ll
be able to follow his progress – and mine – on the new
blogging page on my website – just as soon as Andrew has the
brain space to set it up. I’ll let you know when that happens
in a couple of weeks or so.
Seven
Days with Seven Dogs
Meanwhile,
Andrew is near the finishing line for our “dog-umentary”
Seven Days with Seven Dogs, (the web
site’s been started). We had a short version in a short
film festival, and the short was screened on Stateline twice –
once in its entirety – just because the producer wanted to
show something cheerful.
As you
might know, Andrew and I met nearly two decades ago when we were
both working in theatre as comics (nobody could believe I met another
comic who was a non-drinking, non-smoking, non-drug user and into
all things spiritual – but I did) and as an actor and film
editor, he lends his wonderful sense of humour to this heart-warming
film. I can’t wait for it to be out there, doing its work
for dogs everywhere. Again, we’ll let you know in a few weeks
about how you can see it.
A
Year of Growth
2005
has been a year of incredible growth for me. I created fibroids
in my pituitary and pineal glands. As both my mum and my horse died
of brain tumours, I saw it as an opportunity for me to heal this
forever. I won a grant to write my next feature film Mystic
Hearts, (initial web site includes the concept artwork) and
spent three months writing as I healed myself.
My dad
was diagnosed with lung cancer and I spent six weeks by his side
in hospital as he prepared to pass over – an incredibly profound
experience for me as he didn’t raise me, but gave me a powerful
sense of belonging whenever we were together. His dignity and humour
in the face of death will stay with me always and I feel incredibly
blessed that I was able to be there and get to know my parent as
a man, not just a dad.
Finally,
my beloved dog Tala became paralysed in the back legs, and so began
another journey of learning and healing. And I welcome thoughts
from everyone on this. I fully believe Tala will walk again as she
can wag her tail and stretch her legs.
Here’s a picture of her on her first day in her wheelchair.

Fighting
for Braidwood’s Avalon Energy
Andrew
and I have been fighting suburban sprawl in our beautiful historic
Braidwood, and documenting the changes for yet another film.
You can
help us win this battle by seeing Braidwood as already saved, surrounding
the old world village and its green belt of hills with white light
and prayers, and sending an email to Bill Nethery (bill.nethery@heritage.nsw.gov.au)of
the NSW Heritage Office telling him why you think Braidwood and
its setting, should be immediately State Heritage Listed. We have
till November 21 to make a difference.
Braidwood
is very much like Glastonbury in England in both its old world charm
and Avalon energy. Imagine a pretty Georgian town, complete with
old world buildings, wide verandahs and miner’s cottages,
nestled in a valley surrounded by pastoral beauty, and you’ll
understand why few want the developers to turn it into bland suburban
sprawl.
Braidwood
is also the setting for all kinds of Australian films like our own
“Finding Joy”,
“The Year My Voice Broke”, “On Our Selection”,
“Ned Kelly” (Mick Jagger’s version) and others.
I feel
horribly like my soul ancestors and the first people here. Here
it is again – fighting to preserve beauty and nature –
and being shocked at the lack of sensitivity and the deviousness
of man. For me a real test of love and acceptance. I’ve completely
failed at “Detachment 101”. I hear the land calling
and she doesn’t want to be carved up and under cement. She
doesn’t want the social impact of thousands more people and
hundreds of brick boxes. Braidwood draws many sensitive souls here,
lots of artistic spirits. And on one level or other, we all hear
that call.
But this
time I refuse to melt silently into the forest. And Andrew and I
are incredibly vocal and passionate in this fight. We are truly
grateful for your help in preserving something which is unique,
beautiful and truly special in this world. Thank you.
Animal
Communication Workshops
My first
and only animal communication workshops for 2005, will be held here
in Braidwood, NSW on Saturday and Sunday, November 26 and 27, 2005.
I have
received a lot of interest in my teaching from all over Australia
all year – but it hasn’t been the right time for me
and I apologise to everyone who has been patiently waiting. The
weekend of November 26 and 27 promises to be intense, fast, fun
and informative.
With
their permission, we will communicate with the wild stallion, the
Ballyoncree Animal Sanctuary dogs and other animals, with the spirits
of place, the water spirits, the devas and other wild animals here.
We’ll also spend time working with your own animals through
distance communication and photographs.
For those
of you in other states, never fear, I’m currently working
on some animal communication products to bring to you very soon.
If there
is anything special you would like me to cover in these CD’s,
DVD’s and booklets, please let
me know. I’d like to be able to answer all your
questions, and provide you with the best information to help you
be the best animal guardians you can be. The animals need you!!
If you
are interested in coming, here’s a link to accommodation
in Braidwood.
Silver
Colloid and Vegan Dog and Cat Food
Finally,
we have a fabulous offer on some products we thought we might sell
but got too busy for this year. It’s top quality, human grade
and great for the health of your animal companion. All products
are on a strictly stock available only basis.
-
Silver Colloid is anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-biotic –
in a spray bottle – perfect for wounds, conjunctivitis,
and the first aid kit. $9.00 plus postage. RRP was $13.70!!
There’s more information about the product here.
-
Organic Vegan Dog and Cat food. OK, it’s dried and I don’t
usually recommend dried food – but I discovered this when
I was travelling for Seven
Days with Seven Dogs and I can tell you, it’s a health
supplement. Brilliant for breakfast, for travelling, for the
occasions when you don’t have any other food in the cupboard
or you are in a rush and don’t have time to do the whole
natural diet thing. It’s the best dried convenience food
I’ve found on the market and I wouldn’t feed it
to my cats and dogs if I didn’t
think it supported their health.
RRP was $12 a kilo. Our special is $9 a kilo. Again, postage
and handling are a bit extra. There’s more information
about these products here.
You
can order from orders@laughingowl.com.au.
So,
until the next newsletter ---
